Cruise Line: Fred. Olsen Cruises Times cruised before: 6-10
Cruise Ship: Braemar Sailed: July, 2008
Destination: Mediterranean Age: 56-65
our cruise sailed from Athens. We had 14 days of luxury. Shows were fantastic, even the shows performed by the staff were excellent. Food was faultless and good selection. Ship had a few hiccups two weeks before we borded as the new refit not finnished. This did not affect us in any way. The refit of the ship is very high standard, all the furniture, carpets and curtains are new. We have been on 7 cruises and this is only one that put shuttle busses on at each port of call so not worried about finding taxi,s. We are looking forward to booking the Braemer next year on 13th Aug for another interesting cruise.

Question by Winstanley, Great Sutton (15 Aug 08 00:03) about this REVIEW.
Hi I am so relieved to read your review of the Braemar - we have booked for the Caribbean next January and, since we booked, have read nothing but awful reports about her. Yours must be right as you live locally to us - Great Sutton - so how could you be wrong? Joking aside, can you give us any other info. We are on Main Deck in an outside cabin. Would love to know what the swimming pools are like and the dress code for formal nights. Also what type of entertainment there is - we have read that there is a Beatles Tribute band on our trip - so that will do very nicely. Would be obliged for any info. Thanks Sandie.

hello Sadie, Formal nights are excellent, ladies in evening dress and gents in siute and tie or dinner suite and bowtie but, don,t worry not all ladies have evening dress they dress very smart anyway. Swimming pools are situated top deck 8 and in centre of deck, there are three. One mainly adult plus another adult and a childrens pool that a lot of adults used to sit around most afternoons to keep cool.Entertainment in about 5 rms main one is Neptune with shows after dinner. Early show for first siiting and same show repeted for second sitting.Enjoy your cruise Pat Hunt
