The cruise was like the curates egg, good in parts, 2 ports missed and 7 hrs. late into Lisbon, food ,I think labels had fallen of the food packageing ,some dishes arrived at the table ,not as on menu. The ship is very comfortable and stable ,there was definately a staff shortage and the sea state was awful to say the least.Fred Olsen had discounted this cruise heavily and late comers that paid little money had superior cabins to those of us that had paid original prices. Very bad form and reflects badly on FO

Agree that cabins were lovely- so why restrict them to 1 star assessment? All staff were excellent, friendly, willing, hard working and competent. Entertainment and lectures were v good. Agree Christmas panto was not up to much but it was just a bit of fun and it's importance did not rate highly compared with the many good and excellent happenings on the ship. Pity the call to Banjul Gambia was called off at such short notice, ostensibly for navigational reasons. More likely one suspects to counter demands for exorbitant port fees at the Gambian port
